On a late night with Seth Meyers, Zoe Kravitz spilled a wild little secret: earlier this year, she almost lost a snake inside Taylor Swift’s house.. and in the process, ended up wrecking the pop star’s bathroom.
It all went down when Kravitz and her mom, Lisa Bonet, were staying at Taylor Swift’s place during the Los Angeles fires in January. One afternoon, Bonet called her daughter upstairs with the kind of calm-yet-panicked voice that screams trouble: “I’m in a little bit of a pickle.” Turns out, the “Pickle” in question had scales.
Turns out, the “pickle” was Bonet’s pet snake, which had made a great escape and disappeared into a tiny hole in the corner of Taylor Swift’s bathroom. Bonet had a firm grip on its tail but couldn’t coax it back out, leaving the rest of the snake stubbornly wedged inside.
The blink twice director said her next move was to call in reinforcements- the house manager. Armed with a crowbar and nerves of steel, they had no choice but to tear the bathroom apart just to free the runaway snake.
I destroyed Taylor Swift’s bathroom,” Kravtiz confessed with a laugh. “It came down to two options: wreck the bathroom, or admit to Taylor Swift that there’s a snake on the loose somewhere in her house. And honestly? The second one felt way worse.”
Kravtiz, trying to keep the whole reptilian fiasco under wraps, told the house manager she’s going to cover the damages – and maybe, you know, let’s not mention it to Taylor Swift until everything is fixed.
But of course, this Taylor Swift we’re talking about. She found out anyway.
“I called her, all nervous, like, ‘Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something…,” Kravtiz recalled. “And without missing a beat, she goes,’ Oh, you mean the part where you almost lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?”
