Competitor Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. He instantly pinned Punk to claim his title after CM Punk defeated Gunther to win the new WWE World Heavyweight champion at WWE Summer Slam – 2025 Night 1 on Saturday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Last month, Punk defeated Gunther in a gauntlet match on “Raw” to qualify to compete for the title.

Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez were defeated by Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss working together. Additionally, Tiffany Stratton defeated Jade Cargill to defend her WWE women’s title.

Then, in a tag team with Randy Orton, country music star Jelly Roll made his professional wrestling debut. On their road to victory, Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul repeatedly harassed the rookie, exposing Jelly Roll to discomfort.
